Expert Talks

“Expert Talks”, the series of knowledge sharing videos with well appreciated experts in the industry, now adds a new chapter.

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) is the topic of the latest Expert Talks chapter. In June 2023 the Vaxxinova team engaged with Prof Dr Sjaak de Wit, one of the leading European experts on Avian Influenza. The status and the threat of HPAI for the global poultry industry, as well as possible (vaccine) solutions were on the list. But we also discussed regional LPAI issues and ways of dealing with the challenges in the field. We invite you to watch the videos and gain knowledge on this hot current topic.

Vaxxinova’s international technical team had the pleasure to exchange knowledge and share experiences with an Expert in the field of Avian Mycoplasma. Last summer 2022 we spoke with Naola Ferguson-Noel, professor at the University of Georgia, USA. It was a great conversation in which Prof Ferguson was able to bridge the gap between science and the field.

In March 2022 we were able to connect with Dr Jean Michel Répérant (Anses, Ploufragran, France). A true Expert in the field of coccidiosis in poultry.
Together with Vaxxinova colleagues from Brazil, Jordan, the Netherlands and Thailand it resulted in a lively MS Teams session.

Vaxxinova is a relatively young company in the animal health sector. We celebrated our 10^th anniversary in 2020.
But Vaxxinova’s roots go back a long way, actually right back to 1957 with the establishment of Lab Biovet in Brazil. Many milestones have marked our history since then.

From the late 1950s until today and beyond, Vaxxinova is committed to offering preventive veterinary solutions. It will contribute to animal health and welfare and will help farmers to raise animals in a sustainable and profitable way.

All over the world, Vaxxinova’s predecessors have participated in pioneering science from the very early days, which has resulted in great innovations in (poultry) animal health.
Well-respected scientists and entrepreneurs form part of Vaxxinova’s DNA.

Through a series of interviews we would like to introduce you to some of the people who have made Vaxxinova what it is today, all of whom have made different contributions and are from different parts of the world.
We are proud to tell the stories of these pioneers and scientists.

The first interview in this series is with Dr Egon Vielitz from Germany.
Dr Vielitz was one of Vaxxinova’s ‘founding fathers’ and for decades a mentor to many colleagues and poultry veterinarians.
