Vaxxinova Japan K.K. announces new R&D Director

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Shimoji Yoshihiro has joined Vaxxinova as R&D Director for
Vaxxinova Japan K.K. as of April 1, 2024.

Dr. Shimoji will be responsible for all R&D activities in Vaxxinova Japan K.K located at the Choka
Laboratory, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan

Dr. Shimoji obtained a Ph.D. (Agricultural Sicience) at the Tokyo University in 1997, Japan and
worked as a postdoc in Laboratory of Bacterial Pathogenesis and Immunology, the Rockefeller
University, USA from 1997 to1999. He started his research work in 1991 for National Institute of
Animal Health, National Agriculture and Food Research Organization. He dedicated his research
carreer to veterinary science; especially Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae in pigs. His findings helped
a lot for new vaccine developments and controling pig diseases. On his teaching experience, he was
a lecturer for microbiology and immunology of veterinary science in universites and graduate
universites in Japan. He was also invited as an expert from Member of Scientific Advisory Committee
on Animal Vaccines and Drugs, Food Safety Commission of Japan where his responsibilities were
reviewing of dossiers of newly developed animal vaccines.
