Biotech company Vaxxinova opens International Head Office and Research Laboratory at Novio Tech Campus in Nijmegen, the Netherlands

Vaxxinova, the new biotech company at Novio Tech Campus in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, celebrates the opening of their International Head Office and Research Laboratory with a festive inauguration ceremony on 30 June. Mayor of Nijmegen Hubert Bruls, Director Novio Tech Campus Rikus Wolbers and Vaxxinova’s CEO Victor van Solinge performed the opening ceremony.
Vaxxinova’s new activities
“We are very proud of our new activities in Nijmegen, such as this research lab,” says Victor van Solinge, Vaxxinova’s CEO. “The lab exists of 8 separate research areas, which have been built according to the latest technological standards and are equipped with the most modern technology. The research activities that will take place here will focus on the development of new products and technologies to improve the health of poultry.”
We will be operational as of 1 July and expect to have everything running at full capacity by the end of next year, with 40 employees. We will hire more employees in the coming months, such as project leaders and analysts. We will also fill the last vacancies for the International Head Office.”
Vaxxinova in the region
“Nijmegen and Novio Tech Campus were an obvious choice for Vaxxinova, both for the new Head Office and for the Research Lab,” says Victor van Solinge. “The province of Gelderland and the city of Nijmegen continue to invest in the knowledge economy. As a result, the region continues to offer long-term high level employment.
Important knowledge centres such as the universities of Nijmegen, Utrecht and Wageningen and GD Animal Health in Deventer are all conveniently located. Due to its international character and good accessibility, Nijmegen is an attractive location, also for employees with a German background or residence.”
Vaxxinova’s background
Vaxxinova is active in the international veterinary pharmaceutical market and develops, produces and markets vaccines and diagnostic services for production animals. Vaxxinova is dedicated to working together with livestock veterinarians and animal health professionals in disease prevention and livestock performance improvement programs.
