A milestone for Vaxxinova in cold-water aquaculture vaccines

Bergen, Norway, July 7, 2026 – Following the recent news on the regulatory approval for Vaxxon Yersinia vet from the Norwegian Medical Products Agency (NoMA) – we are thrilled to share that the NoMA has now granted the marketing authorization for Vaxxon® Yersinia vet.

Vaxxon Yersinia vet is a novel oil-based inactivated injectable targeting Yersinia ruckeri, the causative agent of Enteric Redmouth Disease (ERM) in salmonids, a bacterial infection affecting farmed fish.
This is Vaxxinova’s first licensed cold-water aquaculture oil-based vaccine in Europe. This regulatory approval was a joint effort between the Vaxxinova sites in Bergen (NO), Chignolo Po/Brescia (IT), Cuxhaven (DE) and Nijmegen (NL). Big thank you to all involved.

In addition, Vaxxon Yersinia vet is the first veterinary medicinal product in Norway approved with a fully electronic package leaflet, replacing the traditional paper leaflet. The electronic leaflet can be accessed through a QR code on the vaccine label.
